About Fambridge Road Campus
Years 9-11 (Fambridge Road)
Students begin the transition to Fambridge Road Campus(FRC) at the end of Year 8 when they consider, and choose, their Year 9 mini Options and visit FRC with their Learning Group Leader. At FRC students begin to follow a more individualised curriculum in Year 9 with opportunities to study fewer subjects but in more depth. Students will also start some GCSE courses in Year 9.
As Year 9 proceeds students will need to make important choices for their future education. There is an array of subjects that students can study in Year 10 with opportunities for all parts of the academic spectrum including College based Vocational Courses, Diplomas, GCSE and BTEC courses. Our aim is to try and ensure that students follow an educational programme that gives them every chance to achieve their full potential and more. With quality guidance students are encouraged to make their own decisions and realise their aspirations and dreams. This may be through their academic endeavours or extra-curricular activities.
Students are supported through Year 9, 10 and 11 by a Learning Group Leader, a Student Support Manager and an Achievement Leader. Their role is to ensure that students are able to achieve to their maximum potential whilst catering for individual needs and supporting students through challenging times . The aim of all the staff is to maintain a positive learning environment where students are able to do their best. We take great pride in the students' results.
