Exam advice and instructions
On all exams days, students should go to registration with their learning group leader in the usual way. At 8.50 a.m., you should go directly to the venue stated on the timetable. For those students with exams immediately after break please make sure you arrive at the venue by 11.15 a.m. Students with SEN arrangements should go to the SEND area.
Q Populations – Stage Hall, P Population – Sports Gall, Vocational – Flexible Learning Centre.
Please check your timetable carefully to ensure that you attend the correct exam sessions. Make sure, you are on time for all your exams. A late arrival may result in you having to complete the exam after school. If you have no scheduled exams, then you should attend lessons as normal.
Students must remember to bring exam equipment with them – 2 black pens, pencil, rubber, ruler, protractor, compasses and a calculator. Pencil cases should be of clear plastic.
All mobile phone/MP3 / IPODs/ Smart Watches etc. should be left in lockers or left at home. If they are brought into the exam room they must be turned off and handed in at the door – they cannot be left in bags in any exam venues. Any other wristwatches must be placed on the desk for the duration of the exam.
A bottle of water is allowed in the exam room, but the bottle must be of clear plastic with all labels removed. No cans or fizzy drinks are permitted. Make sure you have nothing written on your hands as this could be thought as cheating.
The correct school uniform must be worn at all times
You MUST treat these exams as the real ones! This means you MUST revise! Speak to your subject teachers for helpful hints on how to successfully revise and use your revision guides as appropriate.
