16 to 19 Bursary Fund

The 16 to 19 Bursary Fund is financial support from the UK government to help young people cover the costs of staying in further education or training. 

The Two Types of Bursaries 

• Vulnerable Student Bursary: Up to £1,200 a year for students in specific groups, such as those in or recently leaving care, or those receiving specific benefits like Income Support or Universal Credit in their own name.  

• Discretionary Bursary: Extra money awarded based on your specific financial need, such as low household income
